Overview
The Ukrainian genocide which is called Holodomor by the Ukrainians is one the genocides that killed by starvation. Holodomor took place in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic during 1932 to 1933. Joseph Stalin, the leader of the Soviet Union demanded that the Ukrainians would be cut off of there food supply. It is said that that it was an engineered attack on peasants to prevent uprisings.

In 1928, Stalin forced farmers to give up their land, equipment, and livestock. Those who refused in giving up there farms were kulaks.
